Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress from America. Her best-known role is Skyler White in her role on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student in Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio and she continued her passion for performing on theatre. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in Chicago's theatre for a number of years before trying out for film and TV role. Anna was cast as Arden on Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as guest stars on a handful of TV series and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue through the mid 90's when she appeared in a role that she reprised in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood, which was filmed between 2000 and 2001. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was another movie she was a part of. Gunn was also on the stage for David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, a four-part audio show that premiered that will air in 2022. The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the narrative on Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and its eventual demise arguably similar to the arc that was Walter White's final days of life.
